1/72 Airfix DH-88 Comet

--------------------

Still one of the sleekest, prettiest, most elegant flying things, the De Havilland Comet racer seems to fly even when on land.
I built this model some time ago. I found it in one of the many boxes that keep popping out when I'm looking for something else and I thought you may like to see something that has to do only with the pure pleasure of flying.
The old Airfix kit is well known, simple and quite honest. A few pieces, just some detail and transparencies that may need a tad of your attention. The air runs freely trough the engine bays, but that can be easily fixed. Even the somewhat lazy modelers can add a thing or two to the interior and just let the model pleasant lines do their magic.

I just added the front light, the mass balances on the tail surfaces, a very few things to the cockpit and lights on the leading edge of the wing.
I will definitely build another one, if I could get a hold of a reissue. Sure it is coming, isn't it?
