1/72 Revell P-47D

This is my latest model. It's not a total OOB, I just added wires in the wheelbay and replaced the targeting display (not sure how it's really called) with a small piece of transparent foil. This is a great Revell kit. The pin marks are all in the right places so they can't be seen after the kit is built and there is little flash. Two versions are can be built and I chose the French Air Force version.

Painting was a standard olive drab / neutral gray scheme using an acrylic paint only for the neutral gray, the yellow and the olive drab are enamel and this time I was very disappointed in them because it took them a lot of time to dry.

Weathering was done by mixing Pronto (same thing as Future) with ink for the panel lines and post-shading the panels with a highly diluted acrylic black.

This model was built for a group build that started at my local modelling club here in Croatia. I would have sent you pictures of the other Thunderbolts but this is the first one finished.
