Hi everyone, this is my second
article to ARC and this time it is my Tamiya Fairey Swordfish floatplane in
1/48 updated with Tamiya and Eduard photo-etched parts. The decals came
from the box and are a bit too sturdy and thick, so I used a hair dryer and
Gunze Mr Mark Softer to make them look ok. The metal finish is Gunze
super fine silver, which is very good. You can apply a wash on it and
touch it after only few minutes. For the wash I used enamel colours.

When these pictures
were taken some minor details were missing, most of them were easy to br eak.
I needed a break from
current project, so I started this one, eventually it came out that a lot of
work was required and it was far from relaxation, but I am very pleased with the
final result.
There were few problems, most of
them are standard, but the one problem I should point out is with one float.
When I attached the floats on the legs on the right float, it wasn't parallel
with the left, so I had to make new holes in the float to the left to
make the floats parallel.
Anyway, this is probably the best model I have ever build.
Regards from Croatia,
Skuki
