Hello everyone, this
is my first submission to Aircraft Resource Center. I have not been in plastic
modeling very long. All this time I have been observing different techniques
that people used to finish their models. Also, the "tips &
tools" section helped me A LOT!! Well, I bought this model a while ago and
it took me a long time to finish this model due to time constraints. I was
looking for the "B" version of Rafale, but couldn't find one
in this scale, so I settled for "M" version. The model is built
straight out of the box. The only problem I faced was the exact federal standard
paint used on the real Rafale because the kit doesn't guide through
all that. I contacted other people who have built this model before and
sought their guidance in paint selection & I am pleased with
the result.

The fit of the parts
of this model was excellent, with minimal usage of putty. Also this was my first
experience with an airbrush.
For weathering, I referred to the
"tips & tools" section which is a great help. All it took me
was to mix the powder dust of black pastel with liquid soap and spread it all
over the panel lines and rivets. Once dried, remove excess blackness with a damp
cotton bud. Once done with this process took lead pencil powder dust on a fine
paint brush and stroke it on the model where you want hinge weathering and worn
look. This greatly enhances the weathering effect.
