The Pyro brass age car kits date from the mid-1960s and included sixteen cars. Often released in two versions, the parts trees were dual numbered but eight of the numbers were not announced or released.

The 1909 Cadillac Tourer was one of those which did not have a companion kit. So using the Highway Pioneer 1910 Cadillac limousine kit, I paired up a limousine mate to the Pyro tourer.

Taking this approach resulted in much more detail than found in the early 1950s Highway Pioneer design. The major task was cutting the limo body from its chassis frame and adapting the Pyro floor to accept the donated coachworks. I enjoyed seeing the Pyro-ized Limousine take shape and think this might have been the #216 kit Pyro had numbered.
