This is the excellent 1/48 Eduard F6F kit. I had saw the Wolf Pack resin wing fold set for it, and decided that I had to have that and add it to this model. The resin wing fold set fits into place without any problems. No sanding of the model to get the pieces to fit, unlike Aires products. It did, however require a slight bead of Perfect Plastic Putty around the wing/fuselage joint to blend it perfectly into the aircraft. This is the Profipack editions, so it comes with photo-etch instrument panel, and resin wheels. The Wolf Pack set only includes the wings, all of the other items such as landing gear, wingtip lights, etc. must come from the kit or be scratch built. I had to scratch build the wing tip lights as the carpet monster consumed both of the kit supplied ones. I just used a piece of clear sprue, glued it into place and sanded to shape, and then polished it before painting them. Also had to use some 0.4 mm aluminum tubing to make the gun barrels. The model was painted using Gunze paints.

I am trying my hand at getting better camouflage results using an airbrush and painting it free hand versus using masking. I used Mig enamel weathering products to add the dust/dirt stains. I used black pigments for the exhaust staining.
