Here's another of my all-action dioramas. The Hobbyboss kit is one of their Easy Build affairs and proved to be one of the best of the range with no problems at all. Of the vehicles, the big half-track is the very old Airfix example which comes with the 88-mm gun - it's basic but OK; the SU-85 is more modern from S-Model and is nicely detailed at a good price. All were painted mainly using a brush loaded with Tamiya acrylics, washed and drybrushed with tubed acrylics.

The house was a major part of this diorama. It was built mostly from wooden toothpicks stuck onto plastic sheet walls. With an acrylic wash this turned out pretty well I think.

The tree is nothing but scrap twigs with clumped leaves of foam rubber. The smoke is my usual cotton wool, some dyed with black ink, some with red acrylic daubed with more orange to make the color brighter.

The base is an old wooden box rescued from the trash. Groundwork is white glue-soaked tissue with real dirt and old tea "grass".
