United States of America Independence Day

Long time, no Phantom. So we had better fix that with number 178. This is the Hasegawa kit with a little work. I had planned on building a J model Phantom. Took out the box and found that some time ago I had taken out the wings and used them on a Japanese Phantom. Figured THAT out when I found the painted and assembled wings. In a nice low vis dual grey. Figure I was building a F-4EJ and used a E kit with the extended slats. Found out and swapped them out with the J wings. Apart from the wing swap its OOB , even with the seats and pilots.

No big deal, sand off the extra sensor blisters and find decals for a S model. Had some MAW decals that fit the bill. I had wanted to use some Fightertown decals, so they go back to the stash.

Ended up with a nice bright colourful late service S.
