This is a 1/32 Hasegawa Starfighter. Its my fourth and last BIG scale zipper. Yes, there is a new Starfighter out there but the old 1960s designed model still works. That and the new one costs $150 freakin bucks!!!!. I got this one with a trade with one of ARCs greatest traders, DonG.

Also in this model is a partial Eduard detail set which helps the kit seat and the landing gear a great deal. Most important is the addition of the Canuck brand decals which allow you to make a CF-104 as first delivered back in 1963. The Alcald silver REALLY sparks up the paint on this one. I do not know how I got the paint to work so well (for the first time I am happy with the stuff) but WOW it is some on the bright side.

I chose a specific nose number for a reason. I did up 104748 because I have all ready done 749 in the late scheme, 750 in the Cold Lake training scheme and 751 in the mid life all green. 748 was chosen as 752 crashed in Cold Lake and always had the red tail, like 750 had. 748 did indeed serve in Germany as it crashed in 1967 in Lahr. Therefore I figure at one point in its life it looked as I modelled it. Makes for an interesting batch of plastic on the shelf.
