1/48 Revell Monogram Panther

I always wanted to have a Panther built to represent Lt Harry Brubaker’s Panther as seen in the Bridges at To Ko Ri.  I purchased the kit from a fellow ARC member sometime back and decided to get going on it in 2014 as the decals were already starting to go. It is mainly Out of Box and finished with Gunze Paints and Humbrol Satin Coat. The kit is a joy to put together with not much of issues at all. The decals also stood up well. Details are great for a kit of this vintage and holds up very well to today’s standards. Monogram kits are great…..and I need to bring out a few more from the stash and get them built.

I decided on a wheels up configuration on this is because I might want to showcase it in a flying diorama of sorts depicting the final moments where Brubaker had to look at ditching his craft after it ran out of fuel. But for now its fully loaded and propped on a basic stand of sorts made from a paper weight of sorts.

I decided to showcase this build on a build log on ARC as it has been ages since I done that. I also decided to send an article to Steve …..as always it’s a joy to have an outlet like ARC and I will be getting ready some articles for the Malaysian update as a long lasting tradition that we modellers here in Malaysia do to honour our independence.

Thanks again Mr Steve B. It is always a pleasure to visit and being a regular on ARC.
