United States of America Independence Day

Hi all,
This is my UH-1D helicopter from the United States Army 1st Cavalry which flew in the Vietnam War in 1970. The kit it's not difficult, the only problems that I had were with the interior, the main parts of the fuselage did not fit well with the cockpit.

The Huey is my favorite helicopter, I think it's one of the most representative aircraft used for military transport in battlefield, it can take a lot of damage and still you can rely on it.

"We were soldiers" movie describes perfectly the role of the Huey in the Vietnam war.
U.S. Army patients made up 390,000 of the total number of people transported by MEDEVAC helicopters in Southeast Asia. Almost a third of this total (120,000) were combat casualties. The Huey airlifted ninety percent of these casualties directly to medical facilities.
