Philippines Independence Day

Here is an old 1/32 Hasegawa P-51D Mustang that has been in my “to finish” list for quite some time, so I decided to give it a go.  Just a straight forward OOB assembly.  The only extra effort I did was the replace the gun barrels with syringe needles and custom made the tactical codes, serial number and nose emblem “Tayo Na” .  The Philippine Air Force winged diamonds and tail emblem came from a 1/32 PAF P-51D decal sheet from Lil’s Hobby Center.  Model was painted with Gunze Mr. Color and automotive paints.  The plane is from the 7th Fighter Squadron, PAF.

This Hasegawa kit may not be as detailed as the newer 1/32 releases from other model companies but it’s still a decent P-51D kit.

Cheers and Happy Modeling!.
