Vautour IIB #33
& Vautour IIN #69
Last year MPM/Azure made many Israeli Air Force enthusiast's dream come true
with the release of three versions of the Sud Aviation Vautour. The Vautour entered service with the IAF in 1958 as a replacement for the
Mosquito. Given the nick name the "Jet Mosquito", the Vautour fulfilled the missions
that were previously filled by the Mosquito.

The Vautour A was used for long range attack, the IIB was used for long
range recognizance, and the IIN as a night time interceptor. The Vautour served as the IAF's long range strategic bomber until it was
replaced in 1969 by the A-4H. The straight leading edge winged Vautour IIA no.17 and Vautour IIN no.69
each have 90 vortex generators added to their wings, made of sheet plastic
strips.

These models were featured in the British model magazine Scale Aircraft
Modeller. The limitation of the printed page did not allow for the images shown in
this ARC feature, so I'm pleased to finally be able to share with my fellow
modelers additional views of my Vautour models.
