The Sukhoi 50 still in its testing stages is slated to usher the IAF into a new ERA of military Aviation.  Not only is the Radar signature very low but this probable scheme would momentarily confuse a fast moving aircraft making split second errors thus giving the IAF pilots an edge in both BVR and Close contact dogfights.

The Zvezda kit was very friendly to work with.  Only problems with the instructions being my over enthusiastic inability to follow the excellent order in which they have depicted the steps.  Nacelles were a tight fit but not too hard to figure out with a little shaving and puttying.  Kit surface was a little grainy but I didn't encounter any painting issues. Tamiya masking tape was used extensively.  I used Testors and Revell enamel paints with Future for to seal the paint.  The engine exhausts were painted with Alclad then given dusts with Testors Copper.  Blue ink tinged the heat spots and I finished it off with a light coat of Burnt Iron by Testors Metallizer.  Decals worked wonders to transform a plain model into a roaring live aircraft, these used the excellent product from Brightspark.  The generator is a Hasegawa accessory.  The overall kit was a pleasure to build with no high skill levels needed.  Just basic modelling skills can breathe life into Zvezda's PAK-FA.

Overall a great build.  Enjoy the photos.
