1/72 Luft' 46 and USAF '46

3 models in one article... sorry guys, but I'm trying to post my old models in groups like this and these all seemed fit together.  The models are: PM Models 1/72 Lippisch P.13, PM Models 1/72 Messerschmitt P.1111, and an MPM Messerschmitt Me 163S. The PM Models kits were bought on hobbylinc.com and the MPM Messerschmitt was bought at the Reading WWII Weekend.  All 3 are fairly simple kits, and all 3 go together... well slightly less than perfect.  I used Testors paints and stock decals for the PM kits, but when I attempted to use the decals for the MPM kit I had some trouble.  The kit was quite old and the decals disintegrated as soon as they touched water.  I decided to have some fun with the kit and make it a USAF model, so I guess I've invented a USAF '46!  Hope you guys enjoy it...

All these models were built at my grandparents cabin in the summer of 2010.  Please keep in mind that while the quality isn't too great, they were built by an impatient 13 yr old working in 85 degree heat and 90% humidity.  Less than ideal conditions... That being said, I'm fairly satisfied with the outcome.  They look really cool on a bookshelf, and in the winter they all 3 go on a snow diorama.

I guess I should also apologize for the quality of the photographs... model photography is something completely new to me, and I'm still learning the tricks of it. It's pretty embarrassing for a published airshow photographer to now be able to do 1/72 models but oh well.  I'll learn sooner or later.  I should be a bit more active on this site from now on, I have a Tamiya SU-135 and an Airfix TBD Devastator to post, and I'm working on 2 other models which are of a much better quality.

Happy Modeling!
