Monogram Cessna 180 converted to a
SAAF Cessna 185
Not much to say
about the model, in my opinion really a goodie. Had to do a couple of changes to
get it to the 185. Done the enlargement on the base of the vertical stabilizer
and add the extra set of windows at the back.

The aircraft never
carried the national flag but I add it for a bit more color. The Cessna 185A was
in service from 1962, the 185D from 1965 and the 185E from 1968. As far as my
knowledge goes, there is still one or two flying with the SAAF as well as at the
Museum at Swartkop in Pretoria. A lovely little aircraft all in all.
Enjoy the photos.
