1/144 Dragon MH-60, HSC-21 & HSC-23

Hello ARC, it's been awhile since I've submitted an entry.  Here I've been working on the 1/144 scale MH-60 2- pack from Dragon.  It was my first time working with this scale, so I hope I did good.  My preferred is 1/48.  Overall it was a great kit to work with, small but great.

The 2 sqaudrons are HSC-21 Black Jacks, and HSC-23 Wild Cards.  Both based right here in Sunny San Diego. They are sister squadrons, commissioned almost at the same time, and what a great way to build them together.  The Kit was built out of box with some minor issues.  First the cockpit windows were painted on due to the nose piece being one part and attaching to the fuselage.  It was almost impossible to tape off the small size, but they look great painted on.  The side doors were also painted on due to the clear piece.  I warped the blades on Wild Card 40 to make it look like the blades were hanging, but didn't on Black Jack 70.  It was a last minute idea.  Should have done that one too.  It turned out great.  I used Model Master Neutral Grey, which is Ideal for Naval helo's.  They almost look real.  Airbrushed on of course, and alot of sanding to hide all of the gaps and spaces.  These almost look like a solid one piece model.

Well enjoy the pics and I have now on the bench, the new Hobby Boss 1/72 scale HH-60. This one is almost done and ready for submission. Keep an eye out!!!!!
