F-5 Sonic Boom Test Prototype

This is the DARPA F-5 Sonic Boom prototype from the front Note the DARPA logo near the front Nice closeup of the left air intake and stenciling NASA isn't just a space agency.  They also do aeronautics research

This jet was used to research ways to quiet the sonic boom of jets flying past Mach 1 This aircraft was modified  from a regular F-5E airframe  Nice shot of the bird with Old Glory This is one of a number of aircraft viewable at the Valiant Air Command museum
