  Hello,
Eventually, here are the pictures of the F-8 E(FN) crusader of the =
french nany.
I took theses pictures in 1994 (at the same time as the Super Etendard =
pictures) at Landivisiau.
Aircrafts belong to Flotille 12F (flotille =3D squadron, I think). The =
insignia is a Donald Duck with a gun.
Pictures 1, 2 and 3 left side of an aircraft which is not yet a F-8P =
(P=3Dprolong=E9 in french.....protracted). No Sherlock device on the =
tail fin.
Picture 4 ready to fly on a cool and wet morning.
Picture 5 the shark face of the Crusader is obvious here. The Magic =
missile is for training only.
Picture 6 Martin Baker MK F5AF ejection seat and the Donald Duck 's =
insignia of the 12F (painted on Rafale M now).
Picture 7 left side console. The position of the insignia is not the =
same as on picture 6.
Picture 8 front panel and control stick
Picture 9 left console and throttle.
Picture 10 right console. Note that there's no chute on the seat =
bucket.
Picture 11 ejection seat without chute and back pad.
Picture 12 the area behind the seat. The green bottle is for oxygen.
Picture 13 the ejection seat. "disponible" means available.
Picture 14 the lower straps..rather complex at first sight
Picture 15 top of the seat. The rectangular headrest is missing. =
Compare with picture 6.
  Picture16 the front jet intake
  Picture 17 the radar radome
  Picture 18 the airbrake
Picture 19 right main gear bay. The opened airbrake is also visible.
  Picture 20 left main wheels
Picture 21 rear of the left main gear bay. Note that's not durty at =
all.
Picture 22 left main gear bay.
Picture 23 middle of the same bay.
Picture 24 front of the bay.
Pictures 25 and 26 left main gear door
Pictures 27and 28 rear of the Crusader. Note the Sherlock device at =
the top ; this is a "P" aircraft.
Picture 29 side air intake from outside......
  Picture 30 .....and from inside.
  Picture 31 the J 57 engine.
Picture 32 inside view of the engine. =20
A good walkaround of the F-8P can be found on this website =
http://frenchnavy.free.fr. This site is written in french but also in =
english.
It's not necessary to put my name on the pictures.
  Kinds regards,
  Emmanuel.
