This Phantom parked outside is XV424 "Q" of 56 Sqn RAF.  She is an FGR2 and was repainted in early '79 in the "Alcock and Brown" scheme to commemorate the original Transatlantic Crossing, making the record breaking run across the Atlantic on 21/6/1979 to RAF Greenham Common.  She was then issued to 56 Sqn and was probably scrapped '92/'93...Sad end for a memorable aircraft.  Chris Hughes
