US Navy F-18A: H.U.D.
US Navy F-18A: instrument panel area US Navy F-18A: ejection seat headrest US Navy F-18A: area behind the ejection seat

US Navy F-18C: nose from the left side…note the canopy on the C and D models
is not clear like the A and B models…..instead the C and D canopies have a
special radar reflective coating on them….the colour is tricky to pin
down….it’s sort of a pinky/yellow colour
US Navy F-18C: mid left side…note the reinforcing panel on the inner side of
the left rudder/stabiliser (is this a repaired panel?)

US Navy F-18C: rear left side…note the red dot on the left wing tip missile
rail is NOT a red light….it is merely a round piece of metal that’s part of
the plane
US Navy F-18C: tail hook

US Navy F-18C: rear right side…note the reinforcing panel is not evident on
the inner left rudder/stabiliser as there was on the inner side of the left
rudder/stabiliser
US Navy F-18C: mid right side…note rust residue on landing gear and dirty
finger prints on fuel tank
US Navy F-18C: nose left side…note the finger prints on all the access
panels…still no good picture of true colour of canopy tint
US Marine F-18A: tail hook and burner cans

US Marine F-18A: right rear area ….note extreme weathering on this plane

US Marine F-18A: right rear area ….note extreme weathering on this
plane…also note the colours of the burner can pieces, these looked just like
that when I saw this plane with my own eyes (are some of these replacement
parts?)
US Marine F-18A: tail hook and burner cans

US Marine F-18A: right main landing gear….note extreme dirt

US Marine F-18A: nose landing gear….note extreme dirt US Marine F-18A: hard-point on right wing US Marine F-18A: centre line hard-point with fuel tank attached US Marine F-18A: left main landing gear….note extreme dirt

US Navy F-18C: left main landing gear as seen from left side….note blacked
wheel…..this appeared to be extreme dirt when I saw the plane…it did not
look like black paint when I saw the plane at the airshow
US Navy F-18C: left rear side of plane as seen from left rear corner….note dirty on inside of landing gear doors US Navy F-18C: right main landing gear as seen from left rear corner….note
dirty on inside of landing gear doors and dirt on wheel

US Navy F-18A: left side of ejection seat headrest (combine with picture directly to left for full view of ejection seat)
US Navy F-18A: area behind ejection seat US Navy F-18A: rear section of canopy….note at this point the pilots are standing in this photo to watch Spitfire MK9 do it’s flying demo…..I didn’t
even realise the Spitfire had arrived till 10 minutes
