left side of forward fuselage by
probe as seen from left side
||opened compartment on left side of fuselage containing spot light….this plane didn’t actually have the spot light installed although there is some sort of equipment installed where the spot light should be…this picture is a bit of a mystery…..note yellow thing in opening is plastic tool of some sort. Also note….small cylinder sticking out of side of fuselage is an electrical device to short out the nose cannon to prevent accidental firing while on the ground|| nose
gear as seen from the front
|nose gear doors||upper part of left main landing gear||left main landing gear as seen from the front||inner side of left rudder/stabilizer|
between engines on tail of fuselage ….note arrestor hook is in lowered
position and the tip of it is resting on the ground. The red stuff
is just vinyl covers over the end of the engines exhaust.
side close up of Lex fence and navigation light…..note the
navigation light was clear blue in colour when it wasn’t turned on.
side of nose landing gear.
light on right wing at front of wing just outside of the wing-fold
hinge….note this navigation light also was clear blue in colour…..also
note this light was only on the outer side of this under wing
main landing gear….note "C" clamps for mounting missiles under
ejection seat headrests….note lack of H.U.D. for rear seat
guy…also note hooks on bottom side of canopy for securing canopy
side of nose…note mid-air re-fueling probe is open……also note
lack of paint on pitot tube (?) at bottom of picture
view of nose landing gear
view of right main landing gear….object on the right side of
photo is the pilots stowage container and is NOT a drop tank for fuel
view of nose of plane…note light on outer side of rudders/stabilizers is
red on both sides…..this is also best view possible of gun without a
ladder…also note the dark area around gun is painted dark, notice
the poor masking job on starboard side
of gun. Pretty good view of re-fueling probe.
wing’s tiny clear blue navigation light
|right main landing gear||right side of lower fuselage under wing||missile rail at tip of right wing||burner cans from right side|
|right side main landing gear||left side main landing gear||left side main landing gear||Right side of pilot stowage container|
|close-up of decal on nose wheel gear door||nose gear from left side||upper rear portion of nose gear from left side (combine this photo with photo on left for bigger picture of nose gear)||nose gear door, this picture actually shows 2 doors|
|rear ejection seat headrest||rear ejection seat headrest||forward ejection seat headrest and H.U.D.||mid-air re-fueling probe|
|rear ejection seat headrest (showing decals very well) and also canopy detail||rear ejection seat headrest (showing decals and seat detail very well) as well as area behind rear seat||forward seat’s cockpit area….this is identical to rear seat area except rear seat area doesn’t have a H.U.D.||upper half of forward ejection seat.|
||forward section of canopy as seen from the left side of plane.||opened compartment on left side of fuselage containing spot light….this plane didn’t actually have the spot light installed although there is some sort of equipment installed where the spot light should be…this picture is a bit of a mystery…..note yellow thing in opening is plastic tool of some sort.||navigation light at tip of left wing next to missile rail…..note this light is only on the forward side of wing|
side of fuselage under wing
||navigation light on left wing at front of wing just outside of the wing-fold hinge….note this navigation light was clear red in colour…..also note this light was only on the outer side of this under wing part.||Left
side of fuselage behind wing
