FOTOCUT Photo Etch Detail Parts

1/72, 1/48 and 1/32 Bf 109 Pedals and Seat Belt Hardware set

Review Article by Mike "The Mikester" Offutt on June 16 2009

How many of us who have worked with photo etch parts have experienced this?
You ever so carefully attempt to separate that tiny little part from the fret and "plink", there it goes! The next twenty minutes are spent on your hands and knees trying to reclaim the piece from the jaws of the carpe monster, and if you're like me muttering under your breath about what a "fun, relaxing" hobby this is.

FOTOCUT offers two German Pedals and Seat Belt Hardware sets, one set is for E and earlier variants while the other addresses F and later variants. Each set contains enough parts for two models.

FOTOCUT products are really nicely done and really easy to use, they're offered in 1/72, 1/48 and 1/32 scales.

Fred doesn't have a website but a list of us his products is available here:

and ordering information is available at: oletcherfred@yahoo.com

I'd like to thank Fred Hultberg for the review samples and his generous sponsorship of the Bf 109 Group Build run at ARC last year.
Fred Hultberg of FOTOCUT has come up with a great solution that should make life easier on those of us who use photo etch details, fretless photo etch parts. The pieces are mounted on a flexible backing, when you need a part simply peel it off. No snipping, cutting or trimming rough edges down. Although this review focuses on Bf 109 parts, Fred provides a full line of parts from WW I aircraft all the way up to the F-4 if you're not a fan of Luftwaffe stuff.

Check his site for other Bf-109 photo etch items.
