The LITENING II pod in aftermarket form has been a much sought after product as many modern aircraft carry them including the F-16, A-10, AV-8B and even the B-52.. Doctor Pepper Resins has come through with a very nice product in 48th scale. In the package, you get one pod in a light-colored resin, a mounting pylon (for an F-16 application), a small section of decals and instructions.
The details, engraving and casting are very well done, and will make a nice addition to your model.
For prep, simply cut off the back pouring stub and wash the parts in soapy water. Add a coat of primer and then paint dark grey, FS 31118. The add the decals.
