This  resin update set from Cutting Edge Modelworks includes all the parts necessary to make a Vietnam era gun nosed F-4E Phantom out of the Tamiya 1/32 F-4C/D kit.  The instructions recommend the use of the F-4C/D kit as a basis for the conversion as this kit has accurate cockpit parts for a Vietnam era F-4E, the Tamiya 1/32 F-4J kit could be used, but doesn’t have the correct cockpit parts. 

The parts include a complete nose including two different styles of gun gas diffusers, new nose landing gear doors, resin pitot,  a gun vent, slotted stabs, light lenses cast in crystal clear resin,  and beautifully cast F-4E style burner cans.

All resin parts are crisply cast in a dark grey resin, and are very well done.   

This set will require a certain amount of effort to install, including sawing part of the kit’s nose off.  Cutting Edge warns that this conversion is NOT for beginners!
