During
April of 2006, the Brazilian Air Force celebrated the F-5E's 30 years of
operational service with a commemorative painting, a remarkable creation from
which there's no decals produced for scale models.

I
decided to reproduce the paint scheme in my F-5E model using airbrush
techniques.
The
kit used is a Monogram 1/48. I was not sure of the final result so I decided not
to use special accessories like photoetched or resin parts. I faced everything
as an advanced and creative experience. I
used automotive paint, Tamiya tape and finally did the panel lines and rivets
with china ink pen. I
applied ejection seat decals from the original kit set.
