This is an old Monogram A7-A Corsair II kit modified to represent an A7-E of
VA-72 aboard the USS John F Kennedy during the 1991 Gulf War - the US Navy
A7's combat swansong. The kit was assembled out of the box with the
addition of spares box aerials and "lumps and bumps" to represent those of
the E-model - a sliver of sprue of suitable diameter was faired in to
represent the nose cannon.

The model was brush painted with Humbrol enamels and the panel lines
highlighted with lighter shades. Patches were also added in various shades
of grey to represent a "war-weary" paint finish. Underwing stores came from
the spares box including two Walleye guided bombs from a Hasagewa weapons
set - not sure if this is correct for VA-72 but I wanted to use these so
there you have it. Decals are by Superscale sealed in with a matt varnish
overcoat.
