Vought F4U-5N Argentinian Navy

Hey everybody

This is my latest finished project, F4U-5N in Argentinean colors.

This plane was used in Argentinean navy between 1956 till 1965. They were used in-land bases like "Punta Indio" (Cte. Espora) and Rėo Gallegos; or operated on-board in the "Independencia", the first carrier used in the Argentina Navy in "all-weather" and as a night fighter missions.

I'd used the Italeri F4U-7 (1/72) kit, and I`ve modified some details, la panels lines and exhaust sections.

I'd used K-4 Acrylic Paints, an FCM decals set, and I've included some aftermarket sets like:

  • F4U-7 Aires Cockpit Set (7005)

  • F4U-7 Aires Separate Flaps (7030)

  • F4U-5 Engine Quick Boost

  • Wheels Set Barracuda Cast

  • F4U-5N High Planes Plus 1/72

  • F4U-5 Moskit Brass Exhaust

  • USAF Pilot Korean War CMK (F72110)

I'd used the following references:

  • Vought F4U-5, 5N & 5NL Corsair, Jorge Nuņez Padin; Serie Aeronaval Nē 18

  • Vought F4U-5, 5N & 5NL Corsair, Jorge Nuņez Padin; Serie Aeronaval Nē 27

  • F4U Corsair, Bert Kinzey; Detail & Scale (D&S Vol. 56)

I hope you like it
