1/48 Great Wall Hobby Fw 189 A2

Here are some photos of my Fw 189 A 2 from Great Wall Hobby.  I painted it with Gunze Hobby Color RLM 70/71/65.  I could not use the GWH painting masks, they broke from the carrier, despite perfect storage since the model was bought.  So Tamiya tape and a scalpel, and a lot of patience :-)

The fit is excellent, and can be a rapid build.  I did provide a bit of the axle to the main chassis, the pins are slightly undersized and  the propeller assembly should get some attention, started the engines, both of which must necessarily be installed missing in the A 2 belt boxes for the MG 81 Z I've supplemented by Eduard parts.  The decals are applied to a very thick carrier film, but lie down with something soft but very well into the joints.

Even with small hurdles along the way, a very nice model that I recommend for less experienced modellers.
