The CH-37 helicopters from Sikorsky was the last of which was equipped with piston engines. The helicopter was used in Vietnam as a combat zone transport and was temporarily stationed in the 50s in Germany at the airbase in Illesheim and Oberschleißheim. The model shown here with the c/n.58-005 stood in 1959 at the airbase in Illesheim in use.
As with Special Hobby common practice, injection molded parts, mixed with resin and photo etched parts, all wrapped up neatly.
Special Hobby does not "ready" kits. They enrich the craft while offering many unusual types, but the kit compilation of various materials, making the craft does not work because of various problems easier to pass. Faulty research, and the omission of details of cost reasons, the worse thing yet. It remains then left to the modeller, how far he wants to go with his work on the model. Nevertheless, there are always featured models, but these are always the skills of the builder owed. Bernhard “Flugi” Pethe
