1/32 Academy CF-18

This is my first time building at 1/32 scale and also the first time using pastels to bring out panel lines. My overall opinion of the kit is FANTASTIC!! The detail they included may not be to the max but is far more than what most companies include. The only problem I ran into was the canopy! Thank goodness for polishing cream eh! I didn't use any etched parts but I did fashion the seat's belts from paper and the hydraulic lines from wire.

The decals are from the CF-18 standard markings from LEADING EDGE decals. they are great looking but I did have some silvering problems but I think that's because the model was painted at 12 Wing Shearwater with the same guns that paint the Sea King (creates a bit of dry spray). If anyone has tips to avoid this please let me know! I did use gloss coat but they still silvered a bit.

Overall I'm happy with my first 1/32 scale model and can't wait to start on my two seater! I am having no luck tracking down another set of CF-18 standard markings in this scale so if some one knows where I might be able to locate some.....PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!

I would also appreciate any constructive criticism on this model so I can make the next one even better!
